A green light for working with connected intersections
We mean what we say here at HAL24K, and as part of our commitment to the open source community we are sharing our python package for processing intersection data, pyvlog.
V-Log is a messaging protocol for receiving data from connected devices at traffic intersections, whether traffic lights, loop sensors or emergency vehicle alerts. It is the standard data format for intersections in the Netherlands and increasingly across Europe.
With pyvlog this data can now be easily worked with in python, whether for converting historic datasets or parsing live message streams. We have found it to be invaluable when developing solutions based upon V-Log data and we hope others will too.
You can read more about pyvlog here, as well as some of the solutions we are using it for. And if you clicked on this link expecting to hear about video blogs rather than traffic data, you may be interested in signing up to our ongoing webinar series.
